Little did I know back in 2016 that the 270€-phone I purchased would flawlessly work for 4 years non-stop. Of course it started having some minor issues around 2019~, like that it sometimes froze or couldn't manage the RAM space very well. Issues are getting more serious now, I need to charge 2-3 times a day with normal use, camera app needs almost 1 minute to run, and almost every app lags enough times to make you angry haha. But seriously, one of the most futureproof phones Huawei has ever made.

Anonymous, 05 Jun 2020I have had this phone for 4 years, never had any problems, I find it excellent value for money. Well I have at the same time Huawei p 9 lite, Samsung S 6, Samsung A 5(2017) and Iphone 6.Overall I am moust satisfayed with Huawei and Iphone, Samsung is just good, to much colour on Samsung's Amoled dislpay and what interesting S 6 have the most ppi per squre inch bu for me better pictures, photos, even playing RR 3 Iphone and Huawei have more details and looks more natural. So you thing...

The phone has very little memory and you lose data when you switch from phone to memory card.
I started losing battery life after about 20 months of having the phone. I am down to having the phone permanently on a power bank. Also, Huawei seems to be blocked from free wifi services in stores, malls and train stations in some parts of Europe...or maybe this was just my service provider.
Back to the memory clearing the cache is just too dramatic and frequent. I would say the phone gave me one and a half good years of service. Its is aesthetic, is the perfect size and value for money initially but doesn't last.

I 'm still using this phone and it was excellent value for money. A few weeks ago I still got security upgrades which is great for a phone of this age. The build quality is amazing. It has one major flaw which is it often freezes for a sec upto 10 sec, especially when switching to camera. I've had the motherboard replaced, although in reality the whole phone was replaced and the new one had the same issues. Would I recommend this phone? Not anymore, I think the Huawei P-Smart is way better (no freezing issues) and it's about the same price. Also, Android has exploded in size and with only 90 photos and 2 small apps installed it's constantly running out of storage.
